Medical biology Science is a field of medicine which encompasses healthcare, epidemiology, toxicology and practical applications in medicine and laboratory diagnostics.

In University of The Atlantic, Medical Biology Science is a four (4) year undergraduate course. Masters degree leading to M.Sc.MB

Aims and objectives

1. Students will understand the underlying principles of medical biology science and possess a background in the supporting disciplines. Demonstrate how evolution is a fundamental principle of medical biological science phenomena. Describe the basic units of structure and function of living things analyze the dynamic nature of information flow and energy transformations. Explain how living systems are interconnected and interacting synthesize the above concepts across multiple systems (from cells to ecosystems.

2. Students will be proficient researchers. Use the scientific method to develop experiments that will include ethical considerations analyze models and simulations to understand medical biological concepts. Illustrate the interdisciplinary nature of science and demonstrate the ability to collaborate with their peers

3. Students will use analytical reasoning and synthesize ideas effectively.

4. Students will be effective communicators. Communicate clearly and effectively well-integrated findings to in an oral presentation communicate scientific ideas effectively in writing using appropriate references and data collected as science plays integral role in the society.
