The emblem of the University of the Atlantic consists of the following elements

– the terrestrial globe housed in a circle with the highlighting of the continents (orange and the Atlantic Ocean);

– in the lower part of the circle, a large dot coinciding with the second letter “i” of the word university, inscribed at the bottom of the emblem;

– twounibrigated triangles;

– the whole housed in a rectangle with a white background;

– on the right side of the rectangle, are written the motto of the University of the Atlantic “lex labor libertas” and the abbreviation U.A.

Our pennant is white with the emblem in the center.

OUR HISTORY

The University of the Atlantic Cote D’Ivoire -UACI is the first private secular university in Côte d’Ivoire. Fruit of a Hispano-Ivorian cooperation linked to the relations of the Founding President Pr. Aliou MANE, Fully Accredited on September 11, 2000 by Order N ° 0210 / MESRS / DESUP / on the opening and functioning of the University of the Atlantic . It meets the requirements of Law 15-695 of September 7, 1995, relating to education, of Decree 97-675 of December 3, 1997 setting the conditions for the public service concession of education to private establishments and of Decree 2012 -981 of October 10, 2012 determining the attributions, the organization and the functioning of the Universities. Its head office is in Abidjan.

The University of the Atlantic met a pressing need of the Ivorian population at a time when public universities were in the throes of great upheaval.

From the start, she worked with the big names in higher education in the Ivory Coast. The AUCI has had significant success in the ranking of Universities and Higher Education Institutions especially in 2010, 2011, 2013 and most recently in 2019.

The AUCI began welcoming state-oriented students from the start of the 2011-2012 academic year.
